About Tawuniya The Company for Cooperative Insurance (Tawuniya) is a Saudi joint stock company incorporated on January 18, 1986. It is the first national insurance company licensed in Saudi Arabia to practice all types of insurance business based on cooperative insurance principles accepted by Islamic Sharia. Tawuniya holds the first insurance sector license issued under the Cooperative Insurance Companies Control Law and is regulated and supervised by SAMA. The company provides more than 60 types of insurance, including medical, motor, fire, property, engineering, casualty, marine, aviation, Takaful, and liability insurance, serving all customer segments in the Kingdom.
